Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were not ready by my arrival time as promised, and I was charged in advance instead of on arrival. On the bright side, the ground floor rooms and garden offered a tranquil view of the surrounding hills and the Mahaweli River. However, they were quite distant from the restaurant, which was a downside.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with a great stay experience, although a bit old and in need of refreshing. Some noise disturbances from outside and within the hotel could be improved. Service is attentive with unique culinary offerings. The location is nice but slightly noisy and on a hill slope. The dining experience offers a variety of quality dishes. Overall, a comfortable stay with some minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great experiences and a few drawbacks. The room, with its beautiful mural of the surrounding landscape, was clean and spacious, complete with a lovely balcony. Despite paying a higher price than current rates, the room was well maintained and provided a comfortable stay.
The hotel offers clean, spacious rooms, but had a funny surprise with a lizard in the toilet. The minibar was not working, and some areas felt like a grubby three-star motel. However, the rooms are quiet, clean, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The hotel provided us with a nice upgrade and we enjoyed our two-night stay. The rooms were very comfortable, large, and well set out, though there were some issues with the AC and room information booklet. However, the dining experience was top-class with extensive buffet options despite a few negatives like a foul smell around the pool. The service was exceptional, especially their responsiveness in removing a gecko from our room. The location offered lovely views around the hotel, though some areas needed maintenance. Overall, a pleasant stay with great dining and service.
